This year I am totally feeling like I’m 6 again. I can not freaking wait for “Santa” to come so we can open presents. I so want to go shake all the boxes under the tree to try to figure out what I’m getting this year. I’ve been good so far and haven’t done it but with Christmas being so close it’s hard to resist. When I met up with J and J we thought we might have to reschedule their session for another day. Here in Germany it seems to rain a lot and, of course, the forecast for their session day was rain. We decided to bump the session up to the morning instead of shooting in the afternoon. Good thing we did because if we hadn’t we would have had to reschedule. We met up in Nussloch and took advantage of it being Sunday and not very busy down town. J and J were so cute together, full of laughs, and totally in love with each other!

I met up with B and D in Nussloch for their session. The fall colors were in peak, and they made for a gorgeous background!! Combined stunning couple with a beautiful location, and you get rockin’ portraits!

Week 5 | Heidelberg Germany Photographer

Week 5: Sports! This topic was easy this week. The 49ers (my team) and the Broncos (the hubby’s team) were playing this past weekend in London. My Sunday was going to be filled with nothing but football! And I had a lot riding on this game too. My husband and I are very competitive, so of course we made a bet on the game :D. Once my oldest found out what the winner got she quickly changed her mind and decide she was going to be rooting with her dad. Luckily for our youngest, she got to root on the 49ers with me. And we WON!!!! Oh yeah baby! It was a good night!

Anyways, back on to 52 weeks of awesomeness. So, I totally had a cool shot all planned out but my friend Bud Light just happen to get in the way of picture taking that night. So, you get these two shots lol. The first one is before the game. The second one is during the middle of the game where they both have lost complete interest in the game and are waiting for the trick-or-treaters to come around.

Week 4 Water | Heidelberg Germany Photographer

Week 4 of 52 weeks of awesomeness is water. One day this past weekend it was raining, surprise surprise lol, and Kelcie was intrigued by the rain. She stood at the door what seemed like forever just watching the rain come down. I couldn’t help but grab my camera and get a shot of her. Then, it started hailing! The hail wasn’t very big, but still it was hailing. For a moment it almost felt like home. It went from raining to sunny skies to hailing. I was just waiting for the tornado sirens lol :P

Next week Sports (anything related, teams, players, equipment, etc.) This one could get very interesting! Denver and San Fran are playing each other in London this weekend. I’m sure I’ll have plenty of sports related things to photograph that day around the house.

Week 3 Show us your hometown | Heidelberg Germany Photographer

I’m cheating this week. It’s so hard to “show you my hometown” when it’s half way around the world. I grew up in Kansas, so I was going to shoot the sunflowers that are in the flower fields here. Unfortunately, for me they have died off and haven’t bloomed again, if they do bloom again. The weather has gotten cold this week! So, instead of showing you my hometown, I’ll show you my youngest. :D Enjoy!

And don’t let those big blue eyes fool you. We are starting the terrible twos now!

It’s going to be so hard choosing just one for her senior slideshow at school, if they even still do those. lol.
