Things have been BUSY! lately. My poor blog has been a little neglected too. I promise I will get things updated soon! Also, I just wanted to put out a quick reminder my last “for sure” date for sessions is May 23, 2010. If you are wanting to book a session you need to do so soon.

This past weekend my local photography group braved the only crappy day of the week, weather wise. I have a talent for picking the worst days to try to go shoot on apparently lol. This was our first workshop style get together and to be honest I was scared to death before hand. I was not feeling well, to go along with the crappy weather, and I don’t do so well in front of the camera. I think it went pretty well though and I am excited to do another one soon!! Here is just a quick sneak peek for you to meet the models we were blessed to work with.

Shop Talk Get Together | Fort Riley, Ks Photographer

So, I host local photography get togethers to get to know other photographers in my area. At the get togethers we chat, learn, teach, and have an evening/day out. Our latest get together was held on Fort Riley, Ks. Not a lot of the local photographers have shot here so I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to share a new location with them. We had three lovely models join us for the day too, Fontana, Liz, and Auddie and photographers in attendance were Bill McNeil, Nadja Perry, Troy Ward, and Andrew Harpe.

I met up with D and P last weekend. Lucky for us by the time their shoot came rolling around it had warmed up a little. I was so excited for this shoot for two reasons. One, this was my first same sex couple, and two I went to school with D and hadn’t seen him for years so it was nice to catch up. We started their shoot at Wilderness Park in Frontenac, Ks. This is such an awesome location and am so happy we started here.

Next, we headed to the alley ways just off of Broadway in Pittsburg, Ks to finish up their shoot. These alley’s offer a wide variety of looks. They are awesome for shoots!

I met up with A and T this past weekend. They were such great sports considering how incredibly COLD it was! Seriously, I could barely feel my fingers to push the buttons. I’ll definitely be getting some gloves! Anyways, T will be deploying shortly and I was honor to capture these shots for them before he left. Enjoy!

K and J's Wedding

I met up with another local photographer last week to shoot the wedding of one of her close friends. K was absolutely beautiful on her wedding day. I just wanted to post a quick sneak peek. I should have their complete blog post in the next few days!

B's Senior Session | Junction City, Ks Senior Photographer

I first met up with B about a month and a half ago to do her Senior Portraits and her session got rained out. We were able to meet back up a few weeks ago. B was great to work with and was willing to try just about anything I asked her to do. We started the session on post at a spot that I love to use but was being over taken by construction equipment so we didn’t stay long.

Next, we headed over to a road that had some awesome fall colors!

One thing that I love about Fort Riley is it has random bus stops every where! I love how they photograph.

After going around the post to a few locations we headed to Junction City, Ks to get a little more “urban” feel to her pictures. We hit up a few of my new favorite locations.
